Yet even he could scarcely have imagined they would one day apply to the Southeastern United States, a region better known for plentiful rainfall and abundantly flowing rivers. But for almost twenty years three states – Georgia, Florida and Alabama – have been locked in a fierce struggle over water. This longstanding conflict, recently ratcheted up to new level of intensity by a severe drought and a judge’s dramatic ruling, is the subject of a new documentary, Chattahoochee: From Water War to Water Vision. Children bearing characteristics that are considered mingi, a bad omen or curse thought to bring drought to the land, are typically drowned in the Omo river, presenting challenges for families who may no longer agree with the practice. This award winning film explores the age old tradition of mingi and tells the story of one visionary tribal member and a small group of photo-journalists, who were challenged to act on behalf of the mingi children.

The film is about half-documentary, half-comedy about a kid who is thought to be the top snowboarder in the world until the day he gets put in jail. When released, he's picked up by all the other top snowboarders in the world in a party van, and to celebrate, they all go up the mountain the van for a snowboard party. All of the snowboarders in the film are real people and the story is semi-true.
